About Lesson
For many of us public speaking is terrifying. What's even more nerve-wracking is being asked to comment on something unexpectedly. After you leave this Masterclass, hopefully you'll feel equipped to answer any question sent your way!
The Masterclass will be delivered by Dr. Siobhán Keenan Fitzgerald, 2-time TEDx Speaker, UK & Ireland impromptu speaking champion 2021, Primary School Principal and author of 'Listen. How Child and Student Voice can change the World'.
Siobhan, who is the President of the recently formed Toastmaster Club in Ballinasloe, is passionate about empowering young people to find and use their voice. She is the creator of the 'LET's Stand' Public Speaking programme for young people (aged 5-18).
By the end of the session, participants will see a real impromptu speech built live, with the thinking made visible, learn a simple, repeatable structure for "answering on the hop" and leave having said something out loud themselves even briefly.
